World Changers is coming to Johnson City this summer.
What is World Changers?
World Changers seeks to provide Christian youth and adults with opportunities to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others through practical learning experiences that teach servanthood and personal commitment to missions.
Over 200 youth and their adult sponsors will be coming from all over the east coast to do service projects in the Binghamton/Johnson City Area from July 18th to the 22nd. They will be partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity in order to help economically challenged citizens through service projects. They will be doing light construction to several houses and apartments in order to bring better functionality and appearance to their homes. Examples are building wheel chair access ramps, painting, and fixing porches.
They will also be hosting a block party in the CFJ Park in Johnson City across from the new Walmart on July 21st. There will be free food, a bounce house, the carousel, games for kids, and much more from 5pm to 8pm. Come and check it out if you live in the area.
